The Brentwood Hotel is proud to support local sporting events and organisations in the Wellington region.  Our location is within walking distance to many popular sporting venues,and puts us in a win/win situation for teams attending these events.

The Brentwood Hotel has been actively involved with Athletics NZ as well as Paralympics NZ for many years.  We have worked closely on events from the Children's Athletics Meets (Colgate Games) through to  Mountain Running challenges, and most recently sponsored Melina Hamilton (Jumper of the Year) at the Athletics NZ  Athlete of the Year Awards Dinner held at our hotel. 

We have also been a supporter of The Phoenix Trust City of Wellington Half Marathon, organised by the Olympic Harrier Club for many years.  Offering special accommodation rates for attendees and supporters as well as spot prizes on the day.

Swimming has played a huge role in the sports market at the Brentwood Hotel due to our close proximity to the Aquatic Centre.  We have hosted many swim clubs and representatives from all over NZ and overseas attending National/International events.  We were proud to be associated with the 2005 NZ Youth and Open Championships over March/April, and sponsored Lane 2 + 5, as well as various events and advertising in the programme.  It was great to be amongst all the action and witness records being broken in front of our eyes!

The Brentwood Hotel became an integral partner with Badminton NZ when we took on the naming rights for The Brentwood International Badminton A Grade & Oceania Tournament 8-10th Aug 2003.  We have enjoyed our continuation of support with Badminton Nationallly/Internationally by hosting teams/officials attending local events.  It is great to see this sport growing from strength to strength and have enjoyed having the opportunity to work with all ages from Secondary School groups to Masters and International Premier teams.

For the past four years the Brentwood Hotel has worked alongside The NZ Federation of Body Building in conjunction with the NZ National Championships held each October in Wellington.  From the hosting of competitors and officials through to stand acknowledgement and attending the event to present our sponsored award categories.  This organisation is vigilant in their random drug testing of competitors, and provides competitve events for those dedicated to flaunting their hard efforts and best assets to a supportive crowd.
